The Minto Langin Well Drillers, which captured the
Eastern Canadian Intermediate AAA softball championship in 1980, leads the list
of inductees into the Softball New Brunswick Hall of Fame. Induction ceremonies
will be held June 23 at the Fredericton Inn. Nancy Morrison of Quispamsi, a
Level 5 official who has umpired at many national and international softball
championships, including the 2008 Olympics in Beijing; Roly Gautreau of
Memramcook, who played in three junior, 15 Canadian senior men’s and three world
fast pitch championships in a career that spanned almost a quarter of a
century; and Louis Henry of Moncton, who coached teams at 17 Canadian
championships and is the only New Brunswic coach to win gold with both men’s
and womens teams at Canadian championships, are the other inductees.
Tickets to the induction ceremonies are $35 each and
